Golden Tag Resources Ltd. is a Montreal based Canadian mineral resource exploration company, incorporated under the laws of the Province of British Columbia on September 22, 1980 and continued under the Canada Business Corporations Act on July 20, 1995. The Company has traded on the TSX Venture Exchange and predecessor exchanges on a continuous basis since its inception. Traditionally, much of Golden Tag's exploration activity is involved in the search for and definition of gold in eastern Canada 's classical greenstone belts. Presently, this activity is centered on the Aquilon region of James Bay , Quebec and in Red Lake , Ontario.

Recently, the Company entered into a joint-venture agreement with ECU Silver Mining Inc. whereby Golden Tag can earn a 50% interest in the San Diego Property, Durango State, Mexico by expending a total of $US1.5 million on exploration in increments of $US500,000 per year over three years. ECU has extensive exploration experience in this area of Mexico and recently commenced mining production at its Velardena mine located approximately 4 kms on the other side of the mountain. ECU will be the operator of the project at the San Diego Property during the earn-in period and subsequently on the joint venture. Golden Tag and ECU will joint venture exploration and development of the property subsequent to the earn-in period and will bear their proportionate share of expenditures. Management of Golden Tag feel that this joint venture in Mexico will broaden the Company's exploration base, adding good upside exploration potential and near-term potential for mineral production.
