Golden Tag Resources Ltd. (the Company), announces that it has been notified by Freewest Resources Canada Inc., (FWR: TSE, ME), ("Freewest") that they will continue with their joint venture on the Company's McKenzie Island, Dome Township property in Red Lake, Ontario. The second option payment consisting of $18,000 and 60,000 shares of Freewest will be made to the Company.
BESCHEFER TOWNSHIP, QUEBECRecent exploration on the Company's 100% owned Beschefer Township, Quebec property has yielded grab samples with assays up to 40 g/t Au and 1.4% copper over a width of 0.3 meters (m). The gold occurs in a sulfide-bearing quartz vein which is exposed within a sheared diorite for 45 m, along a NNE strike, and over a width of 15 m. The property lies within the Casa-Berardi belt of northwestern Quebec, approximately 10 km SSW of the Cyprus-Fairstar gold discovery in Fenelon Township. The Company is planning to continue exploration on the property in the very near future.
