Barry, Souart and Urban Townships

April 4, 2000 News Release
August 30,1999 News Release
March 17, 1997 News Release

The company owns a 100% interest in two property groups in the Barry-Urban area of Quebec:

MACHO SOUTH PROPERTY, SOUART AND BARRY TOWNSHIPS (88 CLAIMS)

The property is located 7.5 kilometers SW of the Teck-Murgor gold occurrence and 2.5 kilometers south of the Oasis (Nubar) gold occurrence. The Company completed magnetic and electromagnetic surveys over part of the property during 1997. These surveys were extended to cover the entire property during 1998. The magnetic surveys have identified two regional magnetic anomalies similar to those associated with other gold occurrences in the area (e.g. Teck-Murgor and Oasis occurrences). The electromagnetic survey has revealed three moderate conductors that are parallel to the main magnetic trend in the NE part of the property. The Company conducted an induced polarization (dipole-dipole) survey over the northern portion of the property in 1999, which indicated that the three moderate conductors are zones of increased sulfide mineralization in bedrock that have been outlined over a strike length of 2 kilometers. The thickness of the overburden within the survey area was deemed to be shallow and is not expected to exceed 15 meters. The Company plans to continue the IP survey towards the south and follow up with a drill program.

MACHO NORTH PROPERTY, URBAN TOWNSHIP (15 CLAIMS)

The 100% owned property is located 6.5 kilometers NNW of the Teck-Murgor gold discovery. There are over 24 gold occurrences documented within a 2 kilometer radius of the property. The property is located adjacent to and west of the Alto Minerals-INMET Mining Corp. Windfall Lake property where near-surface gold mineralization through a diamond drilling program that returned 3 meters of 13.5 g/t Au (grams gold per tonne). INMET Mining Corp. has also optioned the Freewest property to the north of the Golden Tag claims.

Golden Tag has completed magnetic and electromagnetic surveys on the Macho North property that identified 9 coincident anomalies which were partly tested by 6 drill holes. Five of the six holes intersected sections that were anomalous in gold. The best drill result, 0.3 meters of 5.83 g/t Au , was obtained in a banded pyrite unit along the contact between two volcanic sequences. This intersection corresponds with a NNW trending conductor that is 350 meters long. Further work is planned.

Verneuil Township

August 30,1999 News Release

Golden Tag has an interest varying from 30% to 100% in 297 claims contained within five separate but contiguous properties in Verneuil township, located approximately 110 miles north of Val d'Or. An extensive amount of surface exploration followed by diamond drilling has been completed on the claim group. Freewest Resources Canada Inc.has earned a 50% interest in the main block, which contains two gold discoveries to date: the Midrim and Toussaint Shear Zones. Freewest reports that the Toussaint Zone contains a calculated geologic resource of 187,700 tons of 0.21 opt gold. Golden Tag retains a 30% interest in this resource.

Beschefer Township

September 11 News Release

Golden Tag has a 100% interest in 12 claims in Beschefer township. The property lies within the Casa Berardi belt of Northwestern Québec, approximately 9 miles SSW of the Cyprus-AMAX/Fairstar gold discovery in Fenelon township. The claims cover an old gold occurrence where grab samples taken from trenches assayed up to 1.08 oz/t Au. The gold occurs within a sulfide bearing quartz vein which is exposed on surface within a sheared diorite for 148 feet, along a NNE strike. The zone cuts diagonally across the porperty.
